Munmun Dutta was born on 28 September 1987 in Durgapur, West Bengal. She started her acting career with the TV serial ‘Hum Sab Barati’ in 2004, which was telecasted on Zee TV. 

Munmun Dutta is a classical singer and dancer as well. She did her Masters in English as well.

Dutta also appeared in several films where she first worked in Mumbai Express which was directed by Kamal Haasan.

Munmun did many television commercials also but she came in lame light after playing role in ‘Tarak Mehta ka Oolta Chashma’ as ‘Babita Iyer’.
